Get Busy Living the Life You Already Have
Chrissie delivers workshops, private consultations, online resources and personalised consulting to parents and families who want to create emotionally healthy and happy lives. She takes the vulnerability, shame, guilt and doubt out of parenting. Rather turning it into a most powerful tool which can be used by parents throughout the different behavioural changes for a child.
There is no doubt about it. We are living in a fast-paced world, and it is our children that are paying the price for it. Parents are busier than ever as they are constantly chasing the elusive work and family balance.
What if I told you that you already have all the time you need for your kids right now? Because it not actually about the amount of time you have, but how you use it.
Kids are simple little creatures. They really are. They do not need a lot to be happy. They don’t need expensive designer clothes or the latest gadgets that light up and sing songs.
A child is most happy when they are with their trusted and loved adults and members of their family. It is these bonds that make them feel safe, secure, loved unconditionally and valued.
A lot of people think they need more time, but I am here to tell you that you just have to get better at using the time you already have.
When you make a conscious effort to be present in the time that you have with your kids, they feel valued and heard.
Some of these things might seem obvious, but the reality is they get pushed to the side as life becomes hectic. We as adults are feeling stressed and tired and we forget that the more we keep our kids at a distance, the more they start to challenge us and behave negatively.
Kids are creatures of connection. It’s just how they roll.
You get out, what you put in, and at the end of the day they didn’t have much choice about this life that we bought them not. So, lets give them the best life that we possibly can.
When our kids look back on their childhood what do you hope they will say? That you were there for them in so many ways. Available emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically.
Goodness knows, they deserve it.
